Mad Science: Where Curiosity Exploded

Our young scientists kicked off the week with Mad Science, a theme filled with discovery, laughter, and lots of WOW moments.

Kitchen Chemistry turned everyday ingredients into amazing science experiments. Campers watched real chemical reactions and even made their own batch of stretchy, squishy Mad Dough—science you can play with!

Movie Effects introduced the secrets behind Hollywood's coolest scenes. Campers used science and technology to create their own special effects—blending the worlds of physics and film.

In Under Pressure, kids explored the magic of air and motion. With guidance from Newton and Bernoulli's principles, they built air rockets and levitated ping-pong balls. Science truly took flight!

Detective Science turned our classrooms into CSI labs! Campers practiced forensic techniques, examined evidence, and created their own fingerprint charts. It was a thrilling way to apply science in the real world.

Porcelain Jewelry: Wearable Art with History

In our second theme, Porcelain Jewelry Making, campers explored the rich cultural heritage of Chinese porcelain—its colors, symbols, and timeless beauty.

They learned about dynasties, colors, and patterns—then got to work turning polished porcelain shards into one-of-a-kind wearable art. Pendants, earrings, brooches—you name it, they made it. With steady hands and big imaginations, our campers created pieces that were not only beautiful but packed with meaning. Every student took home their own handmade treasure (and maybe a little glitter too).

Field Trip at Magic Mountain Playground

This week, our campers enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Magic Mountain Playground in San Mateo! The kids had a blast climbing, sliding, and exploring the vibrant play structures while building friendships and getting plenty of fresh air.

Back in the classroom, we continued our Chinese learning journey through engaging lessons, story time, and interactive language games—reinforcing vocabulary and sentence patterns in a fun, hands-on way. It was the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and meaningful learning!
