BHCS Essay Winners & National Award!

This week, we are incredibly proud of our students for expressing themselves so beautifully through Chinese writing.

We are especially thrilled to share that our student Kamie won a national award in the “Heartfelt Voices, New Perspectives” Chinese Essay Contest, organized by the Chinese School Association in the U.S. (CSAUS). Her essay was selected from 380+ submissions nationwide — an extraordinary achievement! A huge congratulations to Kamie for her talent, dedication, and heartfelt writing.

Meanwhile, our BHCS students also took part in our school-wide Chinese Essay Contest. After two rounds of drafting, revising, and finalizing, our young writers truly impressed us.

Each student applied what they've learned — from vocabulary and sentence structure to creativity and storytelling — and transformed it into something uniquely their own. Watching their ideas develop and their voices shine has been the greatest joy.

We are excited to announce the winners from each grade level, whose work stood out with clarity, authenticity, and strong personal expression. We hope this inspires all students to keep writing, keep thinking, and keep discovering their own voices!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with gratitude and warmth.
